Musos News

Awesome June and a Cooking July ahead
After a sold out show with Humble Man & Jack Rabbit Slims things are just getting hotter and hotter at Musos. We had a sold out show for Southern Gypsey Queen at Latimers Landing's big Venue. Then had another sold out show for Dave Goldblum at Chandlers Underground.
We still have lined up for July;
Straatligkinders on Thursday the15th and Catlike Thieves from Durban for 2 shows on the 29th & 30th

Chandlers Underground

Chandlers is proving a great oppportunity to nurture local talent mixed with artists of National acclaim. we have already had some awesome times with, Andrew Bryson, Shannon Hope, Aryln Culwick, Miles Sievewright and Dave Goldblum.
Besides the local talent that is developing and proving itself we have also already discovered new talent. one in particular worth mentioning is a certain Shannon Hopkins, this young man is going places and is one that East London needs to get aquainted with!
Shannon has been 'hiding' away in Grahamstown for the last couple years and has recently moved to East London and will definetly become a regular performer with Musos. So keep an eye out for when he will next be on stage!!

Southern Gypsy Queen & Albert Frost Team Up @ Musos

Well the SGQ and Albert Frost Collaboration has come and gone and was everything and more that it was made out to be and the packed house that was there to witness it thouroughly enjoyed every second of it. The whole gig from start to finish was just pure 'awesomeness'. If ever a album is made of this collaboration, you want to make sure you get one!!
What really is amazing about a gig like this is how the vibe becomes electrifying and inspire all the musicians and the whole eprience is elevated to another level, and this was certainly evident of the performance Humble Man which truly supreme!

Dave Goldblum @ Chandlers Underground

Chandlers was absolutely cooking by the time Dave hit the stage, thanks to Rob Schlimper and Ed Johnson. We really are blessed to have these musos in our community. What also adds the experience of listening to serious musicians, is an appreciative crowd, and that is exactly what we had on Fri night (the complimetary plate of snacks generously provided by Chandlers didnt go unnoticed either) When Dave did start the crowd were so into the music the atmosphere was quiet electric and as he went from song to song the audience got deeper and deeper into it and by the time we got to 'say Africa' we were feeding off every note coming out of him!! Really an awesome evening was had by all!!
Thanks Dave, Thankyou Rob & Ed and Thanks Chandlers!!

The Venues Print

The Venues

Musos has three venues that we use, infact we have a whole suite of venues; We have a venue for any and every type of Live Music Event we would like to host, from small 'viby' to 500 capacity indoor venue to 5000 plus stadium venue
We have the best small pub in town, in 'Chandlers Underground'. It is classy, upmarket and very 'viby'. IItcan handle a nice small crowd of about 60 to 80, the crazy thing though is the more packed it gets the more 'viby' it is.
We then have two superb venues on Latimers Landing, with amazing veiws of the Buffalo River. The one venue, Upstairs, has a Capacity of about 150 and the Downstairs Venue has a capacity of 500.
At Buffalo Park, we have three indoor venues with capacities ranging from 120 to 350. we also have two outdoor venues with capacities of 200 and 5000 each.

All these venues are also available for hire for private functions, with or without sound.
